International Business concentration is an innovative degree program that brings together a broad range of management courses with a comprehensive exposure to the issues facing international business. As you work on your degree, you’ll have emphasis placed on the global issues in management that affect the world we live in, and especially so, the world of business. These include trade, competition, markets, organizational design, information technology and human resource management.
About Your Major:
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – International Business Concentration is designed to provide you with the skills and competencies necessary for managing in the 21st Century. Tiffin University takes the approach of total development of the individual, placing emphasis on your personal as well as your professional growth. It prepares you for both a career and for graduate studies. You will develop the managerial problem solving and strategic thinking skills that will help you become a leader.

World Student Association (W.S.A.) - The cultural Exchange between all students, faculty, staff and the community at large continues to flourish through the activities of the World Student Association. Activities include international fashion shows, the international flag ceremony, the Annual International Dinner, and co-sponsoring social activities on campus. The W.S.A. is also concerned with helping to foster cultural growth and diversity on our campus, and providing awareness of international student concerns within the community at large.
Delta Mu Delta - The Iota Epsilon chapter of Delta Mu Delta is located at Tiffin University. This is a national honor society for business.
Circle K - Circle K International is a collegiate service organization with a worldwide membership that promotes fellowship, leadership, and service.
Student Government - TU’s Student Government is primarily involved in organizing the campus programming, social activities and serving as the voice and advocate for students concerning campus matters.
Also available to TU students are activities of all kinds, events, and academic and other special interest organizations that include: Delta Sigma Kappa Honorary Society, Communication Club, TU TIMES (TU’s School Newspaper)and Greek Organizations, among others.

On Campus - Offered in a 15-week semester format with start dates of August and January
International Finance (FIN426) - The study of the institutions, concepts and instruments of international finance. Current and past international monetary systems shall be discussed. Special attention shall be directed to consideration of accounting, finance and taxation differences global companies (multinational companies – MNCs) experience in the domestic and foreign economies. Other topics shall include the determination of exchange rates and their macroeconomic linkages, the effect of exchange rates on current and capital account balances and the techniques global companies can engage in to hedge exchange rate risk.
Global Trade (ECO424) - A study of international trade and the geographical, economic and nationalistic characteristics that challenge the firm embarking upon global trade. Our focus is on the multinational corporation (MNC), or global business, pursuing trade in a very dynamic world economy “guided/influenced” by national and regional political and economic considerations.
Global Marketing (MKT404) - This course examines the increasingly global nature of marketing management and addresses the issues involved when organizations expand into the arena of international competition. Particular attention is paid to the differences between cultures and the importance of sensitivity to them.
International Management (MGT411) - This course focuses on business across national boundaries. Topics covered include functional areas of management in MNES, impact of policy, society, economy and geography on the international business environment and global strategic management.
Managing Diversity in the Workplace (MGT351) - In the context of the growth of multinational enterprises and the increasing diversity of the American workforce, this course deals with gender, racial, age, cultural and other differences in the workplace. The course will focus on being open, sensitive and fair in dealing with differences and on using diversity as positive force within organizations. This is a writing intensive course.
